The truth of the day

Send to your favorite Democrat or RINO legislator and ask them what color and size they want.

Not as big a fan of partisan name-calling. Plenty of republicans and democrats are against privatization for all sorts of stupid reasons, and it's not like either party has a platform plank of state controlled liquor sales. This is a state issue, and both parties suck at it right now.

Kinda hafta disagree with you, Greg. Just look at the votes. Every single Democrat in the House voted against the privatization bill last year; no exceptions. There are Democratic legislators from districts that poll in favor of privatization that vote against it anyway. All but five Republicans voted for it. The Republican governor has made liquor privatization a major goal. That's looking pretty partisan to me.

But...the illustrations aren't partisan.

I wouldn't go with "plenty" of Republicans. We are pretty much talking about 5 of them in the Senate. However there is little to no excuse for Democrats to consistently vote against what the plurality if not the majority of their constituents want. The party of "Yes we can" is the party of "No you don't" in PA

Democrat Milton Schapp made a privatization proposal in 1975, but the Democratic Party was once conservative, while the Republican Party was once liberal, in a way...

Lew, tick tock, tick tock. Three more days wasted this week and only 3 days left in the legislature in May. I know you said there was PLENTY of time. June looks like the only possibility and the best pressure is the $500 mil budget deficit.

Given the crap plans Senator McIlhinney keeps putting forward? Not all bad, John. Rather have it right than right now. Remember: like you keep saying, we only have to win ONCE.

Hey John, no comment on the Washington math problem you have? I've been waiting oh so patiently.
